Burning Candle Guide

To ensure the best experience with your candle, follow these simple tips for a clean, safe, and long-lasting burn. Each candle is handmade with love—let’s help it shine its brightest.

For Container Candles

1. First Burn Matters
Allow your candle to burn long enough (usually 2–3 hours) on the first use to let the melted wax reach the edges of the jar. This prevents tunneling and helps your candle burn evenly.

2. Trim the Wick
Always trim the wick to ¼ inch before each burn. This reduces soot and ensures a steady flame.

3. Burn Time
Do not burn for more than 4 hours at a time. Let the candle cool before relighting.

4. Safe Placement
Place on a stable, heat-resistant surface away from drafts, curtains, and pets.

5. Stop Here
Discontinue use when ½ inch of wax remains at the bottom.

For Decorative Pillar Candles

1. First Burn
Let the top layer melt across as evenly as possible to help your candle burn cleanly and avoid tunneling.

2. Trim the Wick
Keep the wick at ¼ inch before each use to ensure a gentle, clean flame.

3. Burn on a Safe Surface
Always place your pillar candle on a heat-safe, non-flammable dish or tray to catch any wax and protect your surfaces.

General Safety Tips

  • Never leave a burning candle unattended.
  • Keep out of reach of children and pets.
  • Do not move a candle while it's burning or when the wax is still hot.
  • Store your candles in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
